Love triangle of sorts

So our leading lady Camilla finds herself in a good old love triangle of sorts. One of her love interests is duty bound and the other a little more complicated. Have you ever fallen for a forbidden guy? Perhaps he belongs to a friend or you get along so well that you don't want to ruin things. Or is it the classic you are already with someone else?
Camilla has fallen victim to all of these things. While she cares deeply for one, she has sacrificed her feelings for many reasons and sealed her fate with the other in a bid to make life happier for all though it is a far cry from what anyone wants.

Here's a little excerpt from Forever Dark to tempt you with. I will be posting one more soon don't miss out!

“Its Riley, isn't it? I can handle him,” he says brushing his lips against hers once more.

She pushes her hand against his chest. “I can't do this,” she says. Maddox leans back, sitting on his heels. Camilla rises and gets off the bed, retrieving her clothes from the floor.

“I don't understand,” Maddox says.

          She pulls her t-shirt over her head and glances toward him. “I'm sorry, Maddox. This was a mistake.

 I shouldn't have come here,” she says, pulling on her jeans.

          He moves toward her, and grasps her face between his hands. “Then, why did you?” he asks softly.

          Tears brim in her eyes at his tenderness, “I needed to feel wanted,” she admits.

         “Did I not make you feel that way?” he asks.

           She laughs and sobs at the same time. “That’s the problem, you did more than that, but I would be selfish to take advantage of it, Maddox. You said yourself, we're not meant to be together,” she says.

Here is Forever Dark's first review

Amazing!!!!

Once again Linda Jackson has delivered. Another outstanding book. I couldn't put it down. I was sucked in from the beginning. 
Where to start?
I love all the characters. Even the bad guys. 
Not going to spoil it for people who haven't read it yet. But wow I didn't see some of the twist and turns that are in this book. 
Can't wait for the next one.

Forever Dark The Basics
Here is a little foresight into the world Forever Dark.
It is set between the human world and the Dark realms.
The Sentinel was created out of three groups of supernatural beings: The Wolves, Panthers and The Undead. Riley is their leader and son of The Order that created them. The Sentinel exists to protect the human world from the Dark realm and its inhabitants.
Orion is the king of darkness and leader of the Hellhounds and assists The Sentinel with any wayward demons that escape from his realm and happen across the human world. There is one in particular that they both seek. The Kitsunes and they are reigning havoc across all of the realms.
The Sentinel can fight against The Kitsunes and even inflict some serious damage but only one kind can kill them and that is The Guardian Camilla who is first on The Kitsunes hitlist.
